Today's Scripture 1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
Whether you like it or not, people are going to hurt your feelings. They are going to lie to you, talk about you behind your back, and kick you when you’re down. That’s the way it is.
If you make the decision to walk in love, you will have to overlook every offense that comes your way. If you choose God’s way, you will have to love people who talk about you and try to hurt you. But always remember, you will win in the end, because love never fails.
We have to love God with all our hearts and then make a decision to love the people around us. God has given us the formula for love: To love Him, to love ourselves, so that we can love our fellowman. That means we’ve got to put God first and make a decision to get under His umbrella of love. If I love God with of all my heart, the enemy can come against me, but He can’t stop me. If I give in to my flesh, the enemy will trip me up every time. But if I’m walking in love, he cannot cause me to stumble and he will never defeat me.
