Today's Scripture John 15:12-13
12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Being a people person means encouraging others because that’s what you’d want them to do for you. If someone puts you down, you won’t be able to relate to that person. When someone is critical and negative, you can’t relate to him or her—worse, you won’t even have the desire to try. Critical and negative people usually have very few friends, because they do not relate well to others. In fact, if you have critical and negative friends, chances are when the phone rings, you check the caller ID to see who’s on the other end of the line.
On the other hand, when people are encouraging to you, you want to be around them. When people lift you up, you want to spend time with them. Think about what it means to have a charismatic personality. Charismatic people are always reaching out and making an effort to put others at ease. Outgoing people make others feel good about themselves. They are magnets for attention because of how they make other people feel.
