Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1 Corinthians 13:6-7

Walking in love is a decision. When I choose to get under this umbrella of love, when I make the decision to love people I don’t want to love, what I’m really saying is, “God, I want Your will in my life; Lord, not my will, but Your will be done.”

If I choose to talk about someone’s failures, then I am not doing the Lord’s will, but my own. There is no love in gossip. Gossip is about trying to bring somebody down. It is about exposing someone’s failure right at the point where God said, “Love covers a multitude of sins” (1 Pet. 4:8).

The Bible tells us that love believes the best. We read in 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love bears all things, love hopes all things, love endures all things. If you know how to love, people will be drawn to you. No matter how young or old you are, or whether you’re single or married, if you know how to love, you will attract people like a magnet. Why?  Because people need to know they are loved.
