Then the King will say to those on the right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ (Matt 26:34-36 NLT) The Prison Ministry at Heritage is a vital and active ministry, teeming with opportunities for those called to serve the Lord using their gifts of mercy, encouragement, and compassion. If you are interested in volunteering for the Prison Ministry, we are always looking for assistance in the following areas: Worship Service Teams that visit prisons and halfway-houses, one-on-one visits as requested by inmates, Life Development teams, administrative and telephone assistance, inmate letter-writing, Aftercare -- a rehabilitation ministry for released inmates, and our annual holiday program for children of incarcerated parents, “Angel Tree.” We would be happy to provide you with further details about any of these opportunities.
